How long can fresh blood samples stay before they can go bad?

For HBa1C test, if treated and stored properly, sample blood can be used for test up to 3 days (72 hours) later. However, Lipid tests sample should be used within 6 hours of collection. (Further information on consumer information section of the Pixotest manual.)
