Encounter history
To access previous encounter records for a patient that has been seen before on the HMIS, simply locate the patient on the Patient List and click on the encounter history which is available by clicking the action menu (three dots) button on the right.
This will bring you to the patient’s Encounter history. You can also get here by searching the patient name on the ‘Search bar’ located at the top and simply clicking on their name.
For a patient with past encounters, the encounter history window will appear as below, otherwise, there will be no data to display for a new patient.
From this window, we can get the status of past encounters. You can even add payments for encounters that have an outstanding balance.
